Author So EA and DICE have announced that they will release a new Battlefield game but not when….
According to what I have heard, it will not be released in the 1st quarter of 2011. That means that you have to wait for it at least until April next year, but I would think that they’re planning to release it May/June as this would be right in front of the summer and who do not have a lot of spare time in the summer

Just as everyone know, Kinect are set to be released Nov.10th this year and with some games.
For those of you who still don’t know what Kinect are should know that this is a new gadget for the Xbox 360.
This gadget introduce a new way to play with your 360 as you have to use your body to steer the whole thing, completely without another gadget that you need to hold in your hands. Kinect have motion sensors, sound sensors with voice recognition and camera with face recognition, this features is the reason that you can interact with your console without any other gadgets. (At least for the programs that are programmed for this gadget like Zune).
Unfortunately this will most likely be more of an family gadget than anything else, at least with the kind of games they release with Kinect in the first round. I know that Microsoft and Lucasart are working on a new Star Wars game based on this new motion system, but we have to see how this works and see if the other game makers are willing to adjust their future games to this specific for the 360. We can only hope for this or else I think this might flop, due to the majority that plays 360 are hardcore FPS gamers and they need something adapted to that. Microsoft has promised that it will be released some new hardcore games to Kinect within 18 months, I really hope so and that they can make them good enough for the hardcore player.
Anyway, the games that will be released with the Kinect are as followed:
So finally the Vanquish demo was released Sep. 1 by SEGA in the european 360 marketplace.
I can tell you that from the demo that this is a great game if the story are as smooth as it seems like in the demo, won’t this game disappoint you. Vanquish is like a hybrid of HALO and Gears of War, with the same fighting skills and methods from GoW and the future like Halo. Another cool thing is that like every Japanese games, is that Vanquish have bosses that can take a lot of beating, but also that have it’s weakness for you. Just like the one in the demo, where you can see the joints are highlighted in yellow and the one spot that kills it have a red highlighted spot.
This game releases in Europe Oct.22nd and in the US Oct.19th
I know that we’re not the first to write a review for this game, but we have to start somewhere. Anyway, here it is.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a great followup from DICE’s earlier releases and they sure do not dissapoint their fans. BFBC2 is in its own genre for this kind of gaming as you can demolish buildings, blow up the wall that the enemy are hiding behind. It’s a great FPS game for those who like those kinds of games.
In this review we will start with the campaign and then follow up with the multiplayer part.
Campaign:
When you start a new campaign you can choose between the difficulties Easy, Normal or Hard as in every other FPS games. Even if you’re new to this kind of games you should go for the Hard difficulty as there is almost none difference between Easy and hard, and you will get more prepeared for the online part.
The story does not stick out from the other games but the way you get help from your team mates are better, as they actually kill the enemy too. Well some bad comments are there of course but you get used to it pretty fast.
After a while in the game you will get the M95 sniper rifle (among others), this isusefull throughout the game and sould be carried with you as often as the situation let it.
Unfortunately for the quick scope snipers, you have to consider the length as the bullets are affected by the gravity. (This goes for all weapons in this game)
That’s mainly the campaign mode, it’s a decent game and a great way to get known with the different weapons for the online play.
Multiplayer:
The multiplayer mode have 4 different game modes: Conquest (aka: Capture and defend the flag), Rush (In this mode your team either have to blow up pairs of M-COM stations for each base, or defend them. Squad Rush (the same as rush, but you only have your squad of 4 players vs another squad. And you only have 1 M-COM station at a time to destroy, 2 in total per match). Squad Death Match (In this mode you are competing against 3 other squads to be the first squad to reach 50 kills total).
When you have chosen you game mode and map, you will be available to choose 4 different classes: Assault, primary weapons are assault rifles that can attach grenade launchers, smoke grenades or shot guns. Also they can drop ammo boxes so everyone can benefit from it, so drop as many times you can, but remember that you can only have one box out at the time. Engineer, it almost says it self, your primary weapons are submachine guns that works great in close combat but not so good in ranged combat. Your job is to heal your team mates tanks and kill of the enemy tanks with your RPG’s or Antitank mines. Medic, as a medic you will get light machine guns as your primary weapons. Also you get to drop first aid boxes that heals the nearby player, so drop as often as you can, you can also revive dead players on your team that have an lightning bolt over its body. and Recon, your job is to spot and fire, spot and fire, your primary weapons will be sniper rifles, you will also be able to chose between c4 charges and mortar strikes, you will also get a tool named Motion mine, this looks like an hand grenade but it will reveal if any enemies are near the motion mine and where. Each class have it’s own special kits, but when you’re leveling you will be able to get common weapons that every class can use.
Remember to not just stay at one place and camp behind a wall as when you kill, the dead player will see you on kill cam, so if you’re camping behind a wall, expect to get a RPG right in your face. The same goes to those who love the Recon class, don’t stay at one place at the time as you might (most certainly) get flanked by the enemy.
To kill of tanks use RPG’s, Antitank mines, C4 and Mortar strikes.
